DOXIUM acts selectively on the capillary walls, regulating their physiological functions of resistance and permeability. This action is beneficial in all cases of capillary fragility due to metabolic disturbances (constitutional or acquired), to surgical stress or induced by certain drugs.

Indications
Besides the peculiar cases of angiopathy. DOXIUM is indicated as adjuvant in diabetology (diabetic retinopathy). It is also indicated in phlebology (prevaricosity syndrom), in gynecology (meno/metrorrhagia), in medicine (cirrhosis, hypertension, arteriosclerosis, anticoagulotherapy both as angioprotector and antihemorrhagic in cases of diffuse bleeding) and in surgery (pre or postoperative capillary bleeding).

Like any other drug, DOXIUM should not be administered during the first 3 months of pregnancy

Dosage
The usual daily dose is 1 to 2 capsules to be swallowed at meals without opening. The duration of treatment which could vary, according to the case, from one week to several months, depends on the physician advice.

Adverse Reactions
Good general tolerance, whatever the duration of treatment. Not any vasoconstrictor or coagulant action (the coagulogram remains unchanged). Well tolerated by the gastric mucosa.
